People brought a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech to Jesus and asked Him to lay His hand on him. This happened when Jesus, having passed through Tyre and Sidon and gone by way of Decapolis, arrived at the Sea of Galilee. That man was having difficulty in hearing and in speaking. The people did not leave him alone but brought him to Jesus. But what the text goes on to show in detail is not the zeal of the people who brought him, but how Jesus cared for him.
