In the word we read today, Jesus first remitted the sins of the paralytic, and then He also healed his body. The paralytic rose up with his bed in the presence of them all. And the multitude glorified God and said, “We never saw anything like this!” (Mark 2:12). Our Lord came to this earth. What the Lord did first for this paralytic when He came was to remit his sins. Saying, “Son, your sins are forgiven you” (Mark 2:5), He remitted the sins of the paralytic.
